Vijf locaties in de omgeving van Fontys, Factorium en Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg vormen het speelveld voor Making Space. Vierdejaars studenten van Fontys Bachelor Choreography presenteren hier de afsluiting van hun onderzoeksproject.
Op vijf verschillende plekken laten de studenten zien wat er gebeurt wanneer dans de openbare ruimte binnentreedt. De omgeving is geen neutrale achtergrond, maar onderdeel van hun onderzoek. Loop van locatie naar locatie, kijk even, blijf wat langer of ontdek alles in één wandeling. Zo wordt Making Space een kleine ontdekkingstocht door de stad, met vijf presentaties van een nieuwe generatie choreografen. Dit event is onderdeel van Dansdagen Tilburg. Tilburg Dansstad presenteert Dansdagen Tilburg, onderdeel van de Nederlandse Dansdagen. De partners van Tilburg Dansstad (DansBrabant, Factorium, Fontys Academy of the Arts en Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg) werken hiervoor samen met De Nieuwe Vorst en De DansPunt.
Five locations in the vicinity of Fontys Academy of the Arts, Factorium and Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg form the setting for Making Space. Fourth-year students on the Fontys Bachelor’s degree in Choreography will present the culmination of their research project here. At five different venues, the students will demonstrate what happens when dance enters public space. The surroundings are not merely a neutral backdrop, but an integral part of their research. Walk from location to location, take a quick look, linger a little longer, or discover everything in a single stroll. In this way, Making Space becomes a mini-exploration of the city, featuring five presentations by a new generation of choreographers.
