The Almeers Youth Symphony Orchestra is a youth orchestra from Almere that has made its mark in symphonic music over 35 years of existence, with one of its highlights being a sold-out house at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam in February 2023. This leading youth orchestra consists of over 80 members and is conducted by Daan Welle. Admission to the orchestra requires an audition (by mostly ‘home-grown’). The repertoire ranges from classical pieces to film music.

The Rosin String Octet was founded in 2021 by young and ambitious musicians, who have studied or are still studying at the Fontys Academy of the Arts. The ensemble consists of young string players from different parts of the world who share the ambition to bring a unique chamber music experience. Their repertoire focuses on bringing attention to music written for string octet from different periods. In addition, the ensemble is committed to collaborate with emerging composers and bring this contemporary music to a wide audience in an accessible way.
