Lulu

Kiete van der Laan, Isabella Calmet Cox Larco and Jonatan Repokari, composition students of the bachelor and master, composed a short opera based on the story of a young woman known as Lulu. Lulu follows a downward spiral from a well-kept mistress in Vienna to a street prostitute in London, while being both a victim and a purveyor of destruction.

In collaboration with Opera Spanga and director Corina van Eijk, students of the Fontys Conservatory work together in the project ensemble LuLu. Classical voice students, a small ensemble and a conducting student are collaborating to bring the music – written by our composition students – to life on stage!
